When Should I Keep My Child Home?
Please keep students home if they are sick. Staying home to get proper rest, nutrition, and care benefits your child and the rest of our NMS community.Â
When should I keep my child home?
- Fever 100 degreesÂ
- Actively vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Uncontrollable coughing
- Illness with contagious symptoms
Students should remain home for 24 hours symptom free without the use of medication, or cleared by a medical provider. You can prevent the spread of illness by:
- Washing your hands
- Cover your cough
- Get your flu shot
- Stay at home
